During COVID-19 Pandemic this position may require the ability to temporarily work remote within the company service territory until company protocol dictates return to the office criteria has been met. 
The position is open to candidates in Eau Claire, WI or Denver, Colorado. Eligible candidates must be local residents. 
 
Summary
Furnishes sales assistance by responding to customers’ procedural questions on product lines, incentive applications, and other energy related issues. Provides analytic, computer-based support for sales databases to reps. Prepares rate analyses, contracts, proposals and sales presentations. Responds to customer and third-party requests for billing histories. Monitors and provides reports on call handling performance. Provides out bound sales follow-up. Serves as a liaison with the Xcel Marketing fulfillment function.

Essential Responsibilities
 
  • Supports achievement of sales, customer satisfaction, and customer service goals by extracting, analyzing and organizing data in accurate, concise and professional formats. Prepares rate analyses, spreadsheets, contracts, proposals and sales presentations. Responds to customer and third-party requests for billing histories.
  • Respond to Mass Market customer administrative and procedural inquiries about products, services, rates, incentive applications, product installation, and non-energy billing. Provides appropriate follow-up with both internal and external clients.
  • Provides analytic, computer-based support for sales databases to reps. Aids in the successful implementation and maintenance of the customer relationship management tool for the Mass Market
  • Monitors and provides reports on call handling performance to ensure the attainment of required service levels, optimum staff utilization, and customer satisfaction goals. Requires close communication with Sales Support Specialists in other locations.
  • Serves as a liaison with the Xcel Marketing fulfillment function to ensure that appropriate collateral pieces are available for meeting Mass Market sales goals. 

Minimum Requirements
 
 
  • At least three years of marketing, sales or customer service experience or combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
  • High school diploma.
  • Associates degree or certification desired.
  • Advanced skill level in spreadsheets and database creation and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as be a successful team member.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $16.00 to $22.33 per hour
