Treatment Services Team Lead-AIIM

Larimer County Community Corrections is looking for a Treatment Services Team Lead to join our team!

This position serves in a Lead/Supervisory capacity in a Community Corrections Program within Criminal Justice Services for individuals with significant mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders. This position is part of the Alternatives to Incarceration for Individuals with Mental Health Needs (AIIM) and 8th Judicial District’s Wellness Court programs and provides program leadership, referral management, clinical evaluations, representing the program within the courts and clinical case management. This position may supervise bachelor’s level case managers, CAC I, II, and III level staff, Masters level mental health practitioners. This position performs the execution of court orders, individual and group therapy, case management, life skills training, financial skills, and crisis intervention. This position will mainly operate out of our Loveland office. 


The position is responsible for:
  • Managing referrals and conducting program evaluations to determine eligibility.
  • Appearing at court hearings.
  • Managing outpatient program milieu.
  • Facilitation/teaching of courses to clients.
  • Crisis intervention.
  • Administration of medications following QMAP standards.
  • Outreach on behalf of clients to connect them to community resources.
  • Requesting and obtaining records from collateral agencies.
  • Documenting client contact and development and Implementation of transition/continuing care.
  • Facilitating program staff meetings.
  • Supervising staff and attending leadership meetings.

The ideal candidate:  
  • Experience conducting mental health evaluations, substance abuse evaluations and presentation to the courts.
  • Experience navigating cross system interdisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to effectively navigate the mental health, substance abuse, and criminal justice systems.
  • Understanding of substance use disorders and significant mental illness.
  • Understanding of the methods, practices, and interventions associated with criminogenic risks and needs, mental illness, and substance use disorders.
  • Ability to work with both male and female offender populations.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed intervention and care.
  • Knowledge and skills in clinical supervision of Bachelor and Master level staff.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Skilled in developing and implementing schedules across sites.
  • Willingness to be available and engaged with staff based on program schedule and staff needs. 

Qualifications
All candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process.

Required Qualifications
  • Two (2) years' experience working with a co-occurring mental health substance abuse population and one (1) year experience in corrections required. 
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Certified Addictions Specialist, Licensed Addiction Specialist or Licensed Mental Health Professional with Substance Use Disorder treatment experience required.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Driver's License required.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain First Aid, AED, and CPR certifications within 6 months of hire required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Four (4) years' experience working with a co-occurring mental health substance abuse population and two (2) years' experience in corrections is preferred.
  • One (1) year clinical supervisory experience preferred.
  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice or a closely related field preferred.
  • License or certification in a recognized mental health field (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or Psychologist) preferred.

Supplemental Information
This position will operate mainly out of our Loveland location, but will travel between Loveland and Fort Collins program locations based on need or job expectations.
