Dentist (Patient Care Dental Service)

Responsibilities

This position is a Staff Dentist position located at the Oklahoma Patient Care Service Dental Service department within the Department of Veterans Affairs Rocky Mountain Region.

The incumbent of this position shall be proficient in all aspects of general dentistry including the ability to perform selected specialty services. Specifically, the provider should possess the expertise and competency to perform the following:
1. Make oral and radiographic examinations of the oral cavity
2. Diagnose pathological or irregular oral conditions.
3. Administer local anesthesia.
4. Perform routine and complex restoration of teeth.
5. Perform simple and complex extractions of teeth.
6. Perform alveoloplasty and other routine surgical procedures.
7. Perform prosthetic dentistry to include immediate dentures, full dentures, partial dentures,
crowns and fixed bridge work.
8. Perform routine endodontic procedures on single and multi-canal teeth.
9. Perform routine and surgical periodontal procedures.
10. Able to use Vista Scheduling applications when appropriate.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
