Associate Recruiter

Associate Recruiter in Talent Acquisition (This is a remote position)
The Associate Recruiter supports full life cycle recruiting to drive quality hires for positions at various levels to include resume screening, candidate phone screens, candidate communications, coordination of interviews, and the post-offer acceptance process. Additional key duties include coordinating logistics for recruiting and educational events, developing working relationships with recruiting partners, and continuously developing expertise on recruiting techniques, technologies, and the job market.

WORK ACTIVITIES/CONTEXT:
  • Screen candidates for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge by reviewing resumes, facilitating phone and face-to-face interviews, and conducting reference checks in order to evaluate skill level in relation to position requirements
  • Update the applicant tracking system by ensuring information is regularly documented including applicant status, updates throughout each phase of the process, and thorough notes in order to ensure proper documentation
  • Conduct reference checks by verifying Candidate employment information, reviewing letters of recommendation, and contacting the provided professional and/or personal contacts
  • Identify business hiring needs by partnering with the hiring Manager and key stakeholders in order to develop and execute solutions to satisfy talent needs
  • Assist in organizing recruiting events by building and managing relationships, registering for events, arranging travel logistics, and developing customized content in order to engage prospective candidates and foster Candidate relations
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for hiring Managers, HR Business Partners, Coordinators, and Candidates, throughout the recruiting life cycle by ensuring regular communication, providing progress updates, offering guidance, running reports, and responding to questions in order to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood
  • Process New Hires by verifying their form of identification, capturing legible fingerprint impressions, inputting information into the E-verification system, and printing a security badge in order to clear for employment
  • Generate and audit job descriptions, requisitions, and position-specific pre-screen questions by collaborating with hiring managers, determining needs, and ensuring compliance in order to yield an effective candidate pool
  • May organize campus visits and events by building and managing relationships with schools, registering for events, arranging travel logistics, and developing customized content in order to engage prospective candidates and foster University relations
  • May assist with planning educational events by developing engaging content and activities and coordinating all event logistics, including but not limited to: managing vendors, booking rooms, and ordering supplies to provide development and networking opportunities for participants
  • Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

EDUCATION:
  •  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • 1 -2 years of recruiting and/or human resources related experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems preferred

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Travel varies based upon hiring department needs and location (10-75%)
