What do Emergency Management Specialist do?
In the days and weeks after a disaster, a range of work begins to get the affected community back on its feet, and rebuild stronger, smarter, and safer. The National Disaster Recovery Framework (NDRF) provides guidance that enables effective recovery by defining recommended roles, responsibility, coordination, and planning among Federal, States, Local, Tribal and Territorial jurisdictions. It also focuses on how best to restore, redevelop, and revitalize the health, social, physical, economic, natural and environmental fabric of the community and build a more resilient Nation.
