Policy Intern

 
Description of Job
The intern will support League operations by conducting research, producing written materials, aiding at meetings and conferences, contacting other organizations and related activities. The intern will assist the program directors, our journal editor, office manager, and president. Some of the activities to be supported include our annual All-America City Awards program, National Civic Review publication, monthly e-newsletter, website and social media postings.
 
Employment Information
This position would start immediately and pays $15.87/hour. The position is part-time, temporary, non-exempt, at-will, with no employee benefits. This work can be done virtually, though we also welcome applicants from the Denver area who might visit in person. This is a four-month internship with an expected start date of September 1, 2022.
 
Skills and Qualifications:
 
At least two years of a four-year degree program completed, preferably in a field related to public policy, political science, civic engagement, or communications/marketing. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and have good skills in writing, copy-editing, and communication. Social media and virtual event experience are a plus.
